Aishwarya Rai Bachan becomes the highest paid actress of Bollywood

It is official now Aishwarya Rai Bachan is the highest paid actress of Bollywood. And this package is not coming for some Hollywood movie but our very own desi movie where the former Miss World will be playing the lead lady along side of the famous Rajnikanth for Robot. This movie is being produced by Shankar and she has been paid a whopping amount of 40 million rupees for this movie. The actress is the first in Bollywood to be paid an amount of Rs 4 crores for a movie.

This gives this Bollywood beauty the right to be called the highest paid actress in the history of Indian Cinema. And we hear that the actress gets very amused on reading that she is the highest paid actress of Bollywood. No strings attached but hey with that kind of money you have every right to get amused and do all the things that you like. Apparently there have been versions that the amount is close to 40 million rupees but hey a couple of millions up or down is hardly a matter of concern. But this success is well deserved by this cat eyed beauty after three consecutive hits in a row which include Guru, Dhoom 2 and Jodhaa Akbar. And it certainly seems that the ‘Bachan’ title has sure turned out to be lucky for this gorgeous babe. Though most of these movies were shot while she was still ‘Rai’ her pay packages have worked wonders for her after becoming the official daughter in law of the Bachan household.

And we hear that what Aishwarya is taking home is actually nothing compared to what her lead star in Robot, Rajnikanth, takes home. Well for the actor the dubbed version of Chandramukhi came in Hindi and was lost in Bollywood. His biggest career hit Shivaji - The Boss is yet to come in Hindi but the actor is in no hurry as he is already the king of the south Indian film industry. But the movie Robot might work better all over India because it is starring Aishwarya and that will add to the movie being promoted as a non regional film.

Before Aishwarya Rai it was hear that Kareen Kapoor had been labelled as the most expensive actress in Bollywood after she had charged about 3.5 crores for a flick. Well we guess that Ash baby cannot stand any competition when it comes to being the queen of anything. To start with she was the former Miss World and won hearts there. Then she won and broke the hearts of the Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi, the latter never understood what hit him. And finally it was the junior Big B, Abhishek Bachan and his family who just adore her. Well nothing seems to be good enough for this beauty as she snatched away the title of being the highest paid Bollywood actress from Kareena in revenge of Kareena winning the Filmfare for the best actress. Way to go!
